The night 15th day of Shaaban, a month of Islamic Calendar is known as Shab-e Barat. This day is also known as Lailatul Barat in the Arab word. Shab e Barat means the night of freedom. Including Bangladesh all Muslim country observe this day with great respect. It is considered as one of the most sacred day in Bangladesh.

TV Channels, Radio Channels broadcast special programs and newspapers publish special supplements which focused on the significance of this day in Muslims life.
